Meeting was canceled at 6 30 due to a lack of attendance
A sub -committee then convened to review applications for the Marcille N Wood
At 6 35, Anne Mane Merhne and Larissa Miller, arrived representing the American
Association of University Women They asked to share ideas about a proposal and the
meeting was reconvened They expressed their desire to make the AAUW a more
community service oriented organization and asked that the commission present to the
AAUW and other community members during a "conference", to be developed in
October and be co -sponsored by Colorado State University (Women's Studies
Department), the AAUW and the Commission on the Status of Women This
presentation would reflect the various priorities the Commission has identified so that
members of the community and members of the AAUW could become involved in
needed areas It was agreed that members of the commission would attend a planning
meeting this fall The visitors left, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 7 30
and the review of applications resumed
