A Interviews for membership Annmane asked if members would like to sit in on
interviews She will check with Karla Smith to see if it is a possibility
B Marty Tharp spoke and gave her support to the Commission She spoke to the
system of Council being able to give feedback to Commissions' ideas She said
Council members were observers of commissions, not there to run meeting, and
able to give feedback if asked Commission on the Status of Women can send
minutes to Marty via email She had questions about the Commission's biggest
accomplishment Annmane answered about the presentation to Council Jean
talked about the Wm's History Essay Contest Jean asked about coverage to the
kinds of things that the Commission does Marty suggested that the Commission
write a press release and give a lot of information straight to the paper
C Presentations
For AAUW Persons doing presentations will contact persons who did updates
For presentations in general Discussion revolved around how to do presentations in
the future Many ideas were presented for how to do different presentations The
idea was brought up to lure a graduate student to do research to give the
Commission current information The commission would collate the information
gathered and put it into smaller reports
D Work Plan Due end of November Email ideas/information about what should
go into the work plan to Haemi @ haemi_cha@hotmail com or to Annmane at
amunane evans@athem com
E End of the Year Report due in January Tabled until next meeting
F December Meeting Lisa moved to change the meeting from Dec 20 to Dec 13,
Haemt seconded, passed
