II Minutes approved Minutes for April will be approved at the June meeting due to a lost disk
III Review Agenda No Changes to agenda
IV Announcements Alison was going to meet with Diane Heath Senior Advisory Board Liaison on May
17 She will report at next meeting
V Business
A Deb s Presentation —Deb Thompson did a power point presentation entitled The Status of Women
in the Poudre Health District which gave information on the state of women s health in Latimer
County The presentation was based on research done in part by Deb and the Poudre Health
District while she was working with the Health District in 2001 Commission members found the
presentation to be informative enlightening and thought provoking Handouts from the
presentation are available in the Human Rights Office
B Marcile Wood Award —Members brainstormed the following ideas for the upcoming event
• ♦ Going to do it in the fall
♦ Mad out information by Sept 15 with a return date Nov I Read nominations by Nov
meeting Notify winners after holidays and notify Women s Cntr Honor at Women s Corr
Event in March
♦ How do we reach more people9
♦ Last year 70 +/ letters and applications were sent out Maybe 20 came back with bad
addresses
♦ Posters with phone number and websrte or with hanging folder with hard copies
♦ Mailing List revise and add to Have done by Sept 1
♦ Come up with target number (250) to send out and target date to send them
♦ Shoot for getting 20 25 applications back
♦ Alison will make preview calls next week to develop a script for the process
♦ Proper addresses how do we find contact person
♦ Use Nancy York to put posters up
♦ Poster design—Steve9 The cover of the Report9

♦ City News insert in utility bill
♦ Channel27 announcement
