Announcements
1 Jean brought the schedule for Women at Noon
Business
Proclamation on Women s Equality Day Jean accepted the proclamation on Aug 20 As a follow up
Jean brought an article about women running for elected office
Senior Center project Grandparents day on Sept 8 was attended by Jean and Kristin They handed
out the survey Diane from Senior Adv Board, Jean and Kristen personed the booth Dianne took the
41 surveys and will get results to CSW The surveys will be used to see if the survey is useful and help
determine if CSW wants to keep using them at other places
Marcile N Wood Jean went to the website to try to get the MNW Award stuff, and could not find it
The link will not be activated until Sept 20 Annmane got the MNW Award write up in City News
for Oct Jean gave members a prototype for an announcement that can go in church bullemis
community organizations etc Members folded and stuffed the envelopes for the Marcile N Wood
awards Members discussed how to advertise Jean is taking applications to CSU Human Rights
Office will have on counter Barb will announce at Face to Face Senior Center will have applications
public libraries will have Rocky Mountain Coffee Connection, Toddys Market, Wmn s Cntr etc
Follow-up phone calls will be made depending on how many applications are received Alison
requested that all letters that come back be routed to her A special thank you to Alison for all the
work done on this project
Meeting with Karen Weikanaut Alison reported The Commission was started for a particular
purpose That purpose no longer exists Karen will get CSW a copy of the Policy Agenda
Essay Contest Jean brought a revised flyer for the Essay Contest She asked members to review the
changes Members discussed the changes and determined that essays will be due Feb 13th Members
suggested changing the number of winners from six including three at the high school level to best two
from each grade level at the junior high level Kristin will retype the flyer and contact Tom Touch
