Ms. Joslin-Aured presented the architects plans for the building with the five areas for possible art projects. These areas include the plaza area, the seating area in the plaza, the main entrance wall inside the building, the fireplace inside the building and the exterior concrete retaining wall. They hope to have a proposal with the total budget and timeline available soon. Ground breaking is planned for November with completion through the summer. They anticipate opening in May of 2002. The board suggested connecting all the areas in an overall vision instead of placing only one piece. Ms. Martin presented the option of adding an artist to the design team. Mr. Howe recommended that artistic pieces can replace some of the standard elements that will be included the construction. It is the board's recommendation to select an artist from the pre -approved design consultant list, to work on the design team.
