Call to order 3:30 p.m. — Mr. Howe II. Consideration of the agenda III. Approval of minutes from the meeting of August 8, 2002 Ms. Gram moved to approve the minutes. Ms. Liska-Smith seconded. Approved unanimously. IV. Citizen participation — None IV. Oak Street Plaza Update Marty Heffernan, CLRS Director for the City, updated the board on the status of the Oak Street Plaza Project. V. Traffic Operation Facility Design Review Selected artist James Haire has been working with the project team and presented drawings to the board. Mr. Haire conducted research on the equipment and attire used by early traffic signal operators. He has created a design that will be cast in bronze and installed on a platform outside the new Traffic Operations Facility. Ms. Gram motioned for the board to recommend Jim Haire's design for the Traffic Operation Facility Project. Ms. Hixon-Cunningham seconded. Staff Reports Ms. Martin distributed a written report of staff activities since last month's board meeting. VI. Other business The board discussed what the next step should be in the Aviation Memorial. It was the consensus of the board to follow through to see if the letter sent to the City Manager had been forwarded to the County Commissioners and the Colorado Department of Transportation. VII.
