Regular Meeting —Wednesday, January 15, 2003.

I. Call to order 3:30 p.m. — Mr. Howe
II. Consideration of the agenda
III. Approval of minutes from the meeting of December 18, 2002
Ms. Liska-Smith moved to approve the minutes.
Nis. Dale seconded.
Approved unanimously.
IV. Citizen participation — None
V. North College Improvement Project
Dean Klingner from the city's Engineering Department presented an update on the North College
Improvement Project. Plans include off street bike lanes, pedestrian walkways, and landscaping. The
nine month constmction project is scheduled to start in June. The board discussed three locations
that have been highlighted as suitable for an art piece as well as the artist's role working with the
project team. The project team could include Clark Mapes from the City's Advanced Planning
Department, Dean Klingner and staff from EDAW. Nis, Liska-Smith inquired about fundraising
opportunities including donations from area businesses. Board members expressed interest in making
contact with local business and would like to discuss this again in February.

Ms. Martin distributed written report of staff activities since last month's board meeting.
