Regular Meeting
Wednesday, April 17, 2002

Present: Rick Aulino, Jim Butzek, Brian Carroll, Monica Garcia, Maria Martinez, and
Becky Richardson
Absent: Jay Molok
Staff: Lt. Karen Carlson, Greg Tempel, and Wendy Hartzell
Public: Parker Preble, Richard Miller, HRC Liaison
Call to
order: The meeting was called to order at 7:20 p.m. after a training session on
non -lethal weapons was presented to the Board by Officer Don Whitson.
The March minutes were reviewed. Becky Richardson made a motion
to approve the minutes as written. Maria Martinez seconded the
motion. There was discussion and the motion carried 54
Absences: Becky Richardson will not be able to attend the May meeting and has
given advance written notice. Jay Molok was absent without advance
written notice. Rick Aulino will review his absences and will contact him.

Discussion
of Cases
Reviewed: Subcommittee finished review of Case #01-16. All charges were found
sufficient and accurate. The subcommittee is finalizing its memo and
findings. There was one dissenting vote.

Cases: None.

Business:
Soapbox article — Rick Aulino modified the article to meet the word count
and will be submitting it to the Co/oradoan.
Discussion
Items:
Jenn Farrell will try to attend the May meeting.
Lt. Carlson will be absent from the May meeting and Lt. Christensen
will be present in her place.
Adjournment: Rick Aulino made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Monica Garcia
seconded the motion. There was no discussion and the motion
passed 5-0. The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.

Meeting: Wednesday, May 15, at 6:00 p.m. at the CIC Room, 300 Laporte
