Regular Meeting
Wednesday, September 18, 2002
City of Fort Collins CIC Room
Present: Jim Butzek, Harry Edwards, David Evans, Maria Martinez, and Becky
Richardson.
Absent: Brian Carroll and Monica Garcia.
Staff: Ray Martinez, Council Liaison, Sgt. Cory Christensen, Staff Liaison, Greg
Tempel, Assistant City Attorney, and Wendy Hartzell, Secretary.
Public: Parker Preble, HRC member, and Mark Berkner
Call to
order: The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. The August minutes were
reviewed. Jim Butzek made a motion to approve the minutes with a
minor change on page two. Harry Edwards seconded the motion.
There was no discussion and the motion carried 5-0.
Absences: Absences and the policy were reviewed.

Mail
Message: Becky Richardson spoke with one gentleman regarding the Board.
Public: Mark Berkner stated he is tracking CRB activity via the City's web site and
asked if the minutes could be posted earlier. There was some discussion
regarding whether or not "unapproved" minutes could be posted on the
web site. Greg Tempel advised that this could be a problem if information
or a Board decision was reported incorrectly in the posted draft minutes.
The process for notifying the public of Board meetings and subcommittee
was discussed.
New Business:
Discussion
of Cases
Reviewed: None.
Pending
Cases: Two cases are pending. Case #2002-8 will require a 30-day extension.
Case #2002-9 is still under investigation and within 45-day limit.

Business:
Subcommittee members were drawn for Case #2002-10 coming in
October:
1. Maria Martinez, Subcommittee Chair
2. Brian Carroll, Subcommittee Vice Chair
3. Jim Butzek
4. Becky Richardson, Alternate
5. Monica Garcia
6. Dave Evans
7. Harry Edwards
The hypothetical case was reviewed and discussed by the Board.
Adjournment: Jim Butzek made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Harry Edwards
seconded the motion. There was no discussion and the motion
passed 5-0. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
