CALL TO ORDER ● The meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm by Chair Beth Jaeger.’ 2. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES – SEPTEMBER 8, 2022 • The August 11th minutes were approved 8-0. 4. BUDGET REVIEW • Beth reviewed an updated HRC budget report. HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING: October 13, 2022 10/13/22– AGENDA Page 2 5. NEW BUSINESS • OUR CLIMATE FUTURE: ANGELA PENA, CITY OF FORT COLLINS SENIOR SPECIALIST FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY o Angela Pena presented about Our Climate Future and asked for feedback on the written plan. Torrin will coordinate responses from HRC to the plan. • POTENTIAL NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY WITH COMMUNITY DEI GROUPS AND BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS (“FOCO EQUITY COLLECTIVE”) o HRC will move forward with a networking opportunity in 2023. Potential spaces, dates, and event goals were discussed. 6. OLD BUSINESS • COMMITTEE REPORTS: O EDUCATION OUTREACH – UPDATES: OCTOBER 19TH “THIS THING WE CALL BIAS” TRAINING AND HUMAN LIBRARY PROGRAM  The final “This Thing We Call Bias” program will happen on October 19th. More than 100 participants have registered. O MEDIA/COMMUNITY RECOGNITION COMMITTEE – HUMAN RELATIONS AWARDS PROGRAM PLANNING  Details were finalized for the Human Relations Award program on December 6th. O GOVERNMENT RELATIONS – MINIMUM WAGE IN FORT COLLINS  The minimum wage discussion that has been happening in City Council was reviewed. A decision was made to wait to discuss providing support until the discussion is further along. O EXECUTIVE – HRC 2023 WORKPLAN (DUE NOVEMBER 30TH)  Beth is working to update the 2023 HRC Work Plan and asked if there is anything that can be added into the plan to provide additional support to the Equity and Inclusion office. 7. ANNOUNCEMENTS – HRC GOOGLE ACCOUNT • Fabiola gave a demonstration on how to use the HRC Google Account. 8. ADJOURNMENT HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING: October 13, 2022 10/13/22– AGENDA Page 3 • A motion to adjourn was made and seconded. It passed 8-0 and Beth closed the meeting at 7:35 pm.
