CALL TO ORDER: 3:33 PM 2. ROLL CALL a) Board Members Present – Natalie Barnes, Kathy Bauer, Myra Powers, Heidi Shuff, and Christopher Staten b) Board Members Absent – Renee Sherman and Nancy Zola c) Staff Members Present – Ellen Martin, Liz Good, Tricia Canonico d) Cultural Resources Board Liaison – Leslie Walker e) Guests – None 3. AGENDA REVIEW 4. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Shuff informed staff of a typo in the motion for the Pedestrian Paver Project. Ms. Powers moved to approve the minutes of the April 19 meeting. Ms. Barnes seconded. Unanimously approved. 6. NEW BUSINESS a) TRANSFORMER CABINET MURAL REVIEW a) Xeriscape Garden Event b) Open Streets Ms. Martin shared mural designs for Shawna Turner for the Xeriscape Garden event at City Hall on June 17 and Terry McNerney for Open Streets Landings/Boardwalk from Harmony Rd. to Horsetooth Rd. on June 4. Terry McNerney’s mural will be the 400th for the program and will celebrate that theme in the mural. The Board asked for links to more information about the events about the marketing and promotion for the 400th cabinet. Ms. Bauer moved that we accept Terry and Shawna’s designs and move forward with those. Ms. Barnes seconded. Unanimously approved ART IN PUBLIC PLACES REGULAR MEETING 5/10 /20 23 – MINUTES Page 2 b. PROJECT UPDATES Ms. Martin shared updates of projects recently installed (Glenmoor Pond, Dovetail Park), in fabrication (Vine and Lemay Overpass), and approved by the Board and City Council (Laporte Bridges, Stream Rehabilitation, and Water Treatment Facility). c. STAFF REPORT Ms. Martin shared highlights from the report. It will be emailed to the Board. 7. OTHER BUSINESS a) Leslie Walker, Cultural Resources Board (CuRB) Liaison, shared about CuRB, the City’s Art and Culture Master Plan, and the Americans for the Arts Economic Impact Survey. A major function of the Board is awarding Fort Fund grants. Fort Fund was started in 1989 and is funded through the lodging tax. The CuRB Board awards grants to local non-profit groups that work in arts in culture. She explained the process for the board to award funds. 8.
