AIR QUALITY ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL
FROM: Fort Collins Air Quality Advisory Board
DATE: July 24, 2009
SUBJECT: Mountain Vista Subarea Plan
Dear Mayor and members of City Council:
At our meeting of July 20, 2009 the Fort Collins Air Quality Board members [AQAB] resolved
to support the proposed revision of the Mountain Vista Subarea Plan. We adopted the following
motion unanimously:
The AQAB believes this plan will provide adequate air quality protection for the
subarea. The Board is concerned the Vine Street realignment may become a de
facto truck route and the Board, for health and safety reasons, would like the City
Council to make every effort to prevent this from happening through street design,
traffic monitoring and traffic enforcement.
