The following motion was proposed: The NRAB recommends including in the BOB 2.0 funding package the following projects: ENV1 Climate Action Projects ENV2 Community Organics Composting & Recycling Facility ENV3 Downtown Poudre River Enhancements CNL6 Implementing Nature in the City The motion passed unanimously on a vote of 6-0 in favor. All of these projects will move us closer to important goals for a sustainable future in the City of Fort Collins. The Climate Action Projects (ENV1) will move us closer to implementation of our Greenhouse Gas Emission reduction goals and help us meet the challenge of climate change and global warming. The Community Organics Composting and Recycling Facility (ENV2) is a critical step if we are to meet our Zero Waste Plan goals, and the Downtown Poudre River Enhancements (ENV3) will help the community protect and enjoy the Poudre River, one of our primary natural resources in the City of Fort Collins. Finally, the Nature in the City project (CNL6) will allow for restoration of natural habitats from a diversity of sources. It is our belief that all 4 of these projects will substantially add to the quality of life in the City of Fort Collins and will be well received by our residents. Please feel free to contact me regarding these recommendations.
