Online via Zoom or in person at 413 South Bryan Avenue
This hybrid Golf Board meeting will be available online via Zoom, by phone, or in person at
413 South Bryan Avenue. The meeting will be available to join beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Participants should join at least 15 minutes prior to the 6:00 p.m. start time.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN PERSON:

of individuals in the meeting room, and thus staging for individuals to speak may need to occur
in the lobby or outside (weather permitting).
Individuals who wish to speak will line up along the northern wall, maintaining physical
distancing. The chairperson will call upon each participant to speak.

On a motion by Melissa King, seconded by Ross Liggett, the Board voted (6:0) to approve
the November 9, 2022 Minutes.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Southridge Irrigation Project
The project is going well. All mainlines will be installed by the end of the month. Our
contractor has stopped installing lateral lines until the ground starts to soften and we are
melted. Wet well has been installed on the number 5 pond and the liner has been installed.
We faced a $75,000 change order with the pond liner and lake prep because ground water
made it impossible to grade with a dozer. Work is starting on the #11/12 pond soon.

7. NEW BUSINESS
Draft 2022 Annual Report
The Board reviewed the draft report. A final report needs to be approved at the January
meeting & submitted to the City Clerk's office. The final 2022 rounds count will be added
once the report is complete.
Policy & Procedure Manual
The Board received a copy of the manual to review prior to the meeting. Melissa stated
that she wasn't aware the manual was so detailed. Scott mentioned that this is a working
document that staff will continue to update as policies & procedure changes take place,
rather than updating the document at the end of the year.
Collindale Firework Event —Thank you
The Board expressed their gratitude towards Earl for donating his equipment & the Youth
Scholarship donation from Kevin. The tournament raised $4,240.
8. FINANCIAL UPDATE/ROUNDS REPORT
Rounds Report
Unfortunately, the November rounds are down from this time last year. Although the
weather hasn't been great, we are optimistic that we will surpass last year's rounds.
Financial Report
Scott reviewed the financial report. He mentioned that we discovered some partial payment
issues in the system. He explained that the funds were processed, but the reporting wasn't
finalized. Staff has finalized all payments & they are now being reconciled with accounting.
Scott stated that Lightspeed has since installed a widget, which will force all payments to
be completed before the pro shops can close their registers. Ross said the widget is a new
feature that Lightspeed implemented. Scott mentioned that we do need to look into our
revenue reporting to close the year.
9. OTHER BUSINESS
The Board thanked Rory for his contributions to the Golf Board. Scott informed the Board
that Jon Schmunk was reappointed to the Board.

Peter did a good job, and there was lots of good feedback from

• Partnering with CSU to bring there junior golf camps to City Park Nine
• This Partnership will nearly double the amount of participants in our Junior
Golf Classes at City Park 9. 5 sessions with 30 children per session from the
end of May to the beginning of August.

The league cost for a child was $175, it is an in house developmental league.
Kids that quality for meal assistance at their school get to take advantage of
the PGA scholarships, making the program a zero cost to the parents.
In 2022, 1 was the Captain and League Director

To start the season, I plan to offer ready to eat items like hotdogs, frozen
burritos, ice cream. This will also be the food plan for hours when the restaurant
is not open, and for the offseason.

o The boom in golf has been obvious. With so
many new golfers my staff and I need to take
�; extra steps to educate these beginners how to
� keep up when playing the course. We want to
encourage new golfers to come out and play.
So, it is important to educate players without
making them feel attacked.

2021 commitments we made for 2022 and were
successfully accomplished:
New POS system, Lightspeed, was installed end of March - learning curve with
many kinks but now running much more smoothly
Shop staff and Outside staff did a great job informing golfers of the 9's being
switched
Supply chain has improved but not back to normal yet. We were able to keep the
Pro Shop at a good inventory level. Special orders came more quickly in 2022.
Our Pro Shop staff and Volunteers continued to provide great customer service daily
Shop staff, Player Assistants and Starters on the 1 st tee informed golfers how to
maintain a good pace of play (many new players in 2022, similar to 2021 )
10 -minute tee times - helped the pace of play
Tournaments - We had over 32 events and 2,700+ rounds
Provided 24-hr turn around on regripping and club repair
Multiple programs offered through the Academy to attract players to Collindale -
Camp Collindale, WACK (Weekday Afternoon Club for Kids), FAM Jam, Yoga on the

• We had a full staff in 2022.
• Golf continued to surge in 2022.
• The driving range was super busy in 2022 as well.
• We were able to complete renovations on both bunkers on #2.
• Got 36 new Yamaha carts.
• Got a new Salsco Greens Roller.
• Began renovation of ditch diversions to 15 lake, 18 lake and English Ranch
Park.

• We purchased a Salsco Greens roller that has already made a difference.
• Maintenance shop cleaning and organization.
• Extensive tree pruning and raising.

• We replaced dozens of irrigation heads and leveled dozens as well.
• We overseeded a bunch of bare areas and traffic worn areas.
• Continued to improve 15 fairway and other struggling areas especially
affected by shade in the winter.
