Citizen Participation and Plan Member Comments – none noted 2. Consider Approving the Minutes from the Meeting of October 13, 2022 Randy Bailey made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Del Bernhardt seconded the motion. Approval confirmed via roll call; Ralph Zentz, Del Bernhardt, Jackie Darner, Randy Bailey, and Clark Mapes. 3. Review and consider Plan member request for retroactive payment of benefits due to failure to send eligibility letters (LeeAnna Vargas) Thomas Chappel was located and upon approval, we are ready to process his retroactive payment. Del Bernhardt made a motion to approve a retroactive payment to Thomas Chappel. Ralph Zentz seconded the motion. Approval confirmed via roll call; Ralph Zentz, Del Bernhardt, Jackie Darner, Randy Bailey, and Clark Mapes. We are in the process of determining if there are other GERP members (active employees) who are impacted and if they received a letter at age 64 ½.. We are doing an audit of active employees to locate letters sent to active employees. Thomas Forte is still outstanding from the first group. DocuSign Envelope ID: 70E00D42-4357-4CC2-8F56-5962E4ADCAB8 2 4. Plan Participant Updates (LeeAnna Vargas) Gerald Yackle separated from the city on October 30th 2022 and he turned 69 on July 14, 2022. We do not have record that he received notification when he retired. It would be different if it was determined that he was eligible. Blaine Dunn - benefits will continue to grow for active employee GERP members. They continue to accrue years of service and their highest salary over the last 5 years is used for the calculation. Active GERP members do not receive a letter at 64 ½ years of age. If a member is still working at age 72, they are required to take the benefit. Once they take an in service distribution, they exit the plan and can start to take the benefit but no longer accrue years of service. 5.
