2020 Annual Report
2020 ANNUAL REPORT Page 1
The following lists the major items the Affordable Housing Board (AHB) was involved with
during 2020:
1. COMPETITIVE PROCESS FOR ALLOCATING CITY FUNDS FOR AFFORDABLE
HOUSING
• AHB worked with the Community Development Block Grant Commission in advising
City Council on the funding for affordable housing projects in the spring cycle of the
competitive process.
• The Board reviewed 6 applications in the spring cycle and made recommendations to
the CDBG Commission.
2. LAND BANK PROGRAM
• The Board was kept apprised of development proposal for the Kechter parcel. Final site
and funding feasibility underway.
• The Board supported staff efforts that resulted in the purchase of an additional land
bank parcel.
3. THE BOARD SENT MEMORANDUMS OR EMAILS TO CITY COUNCIL REGARDING
THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:
• Support for 2020 Private Activity Bond Allocation Assignments
• Support for Fee Waiver Process change to Fee Credits
• Support for purchasing the North College Land Bank Parcel
4. COUNCIL LIAISON CONTACT
• Council Liaison was invited to and attended two board meetings

6. COMMUNITY MEETINGS:
• Several board members participated in Home2Health community engagement and
specifically in the Strategic Doing events.
2020 Work plan: The Board sent a representative to participate in City Council meetings public
comment periodically throughout the year, albeit not as often as previous years.
• The Board worked to complete their work plan for the year 2020.
• The Board pivoted to remote meetings due to the Covid -19 pandemic starting in April
and continued to process essential business, missing only one meeting.
