2018 Work Plan & Meeting Schedule
2018 Meeting Schedule
Regular meetings of the General Employees’ Retirement Committee (GERC) are scheduled for
the second Thursday of every month and are held at 215 North Mason in conference room 2A
beginning at 1:15pm.
The 2018 GERC meeting schedule is:
January 11 April 12 July 12 October 11
February 8 May 10 August 9 November 8
March 8 June 14 September 13 December 13
2018 GERC Work Plan
Prepare 2017 GERC Annual Report for City Council prior to January 31, 2018.
Fiduciary training for Committee members.
Elect Officers and Review GERC standing rules in February 2018.
Consider modifying practices, policies, plan document, etc. as advised in fiduciary
training.
Continue Monitoring of Retirement Plan and the appropriate level of contributions.
Revise actuarial assumptions prior to March 1, if necessary, for the 2018 Report.
Review ‘Personal Retirement Planning Statement’ forms in April 2018.
Review Quarterly and Monthly Investment Reports.
Review legislative issues with actuarial consultant and support staff.
Prepare Work Plan for 2019 by September 30, 2018.
Provide and enhance the educational opportunities for GERP members and GERC Board
members, as appropriate.
The web site for the General Employees’ Retirement Committee will be monitored,
updated as needed, and the minutes will be posted once they have been approved and
signed.
