2022 Work Plan & Meeting Schedule
2022 Meeting Schedule
Regular meetings of the General Employees’ Retirement Committee (GERC) are scheduled for
the second Thursday of every month and are held at 215 North Mason in conference room 2A
or via Zoom beginning at 11:00 am.
The 2022 GERC meeting schedule is:
January 13 April 14 July 14 October 13
February 10 May 12 August 11 November 10
March 10 June 9 September 8 December 8
2022 GERC Work Plan
Prepare 2021 GERC Annual Report for City Council prior to January 31, 2022.
Fiduciary training for all Committee members.
Elect Officers and Review GERC standing rules in February 2022.
Consider modifying practices, policies, plan document, etc. as advised in fiduciary
training.
Continue Monitoring of Retirement Plan and the appropriate level of contributions.
Revise actuarial assumptions prior to March 1, if necessary, for the 2021 Report.
Review ‘Personal Retirement Planning Statement’ forms in April 2022.
Review Quarterly and Monthly Investment Reports.
Review legislative issues with actuarial consultant and support staff.
Prepare Work Plan for 2023 by September 30, 2022.
Provide and enhance the educational opportunities for GERP members and GERC Board
members, as appropriate.
The web site for the General Employees’ Retirement Committee will be monitored,
updated as needed, and the minutes will be posted once they have been approved and
signed.
