Meeting called to order at 11:02 am
Committee introductions to Council Liaison; Kelly Ohlson
The Committee Chairperson, Clark Mapes, and the staff liaison, Nikki Daniels consulted and
determined that the Committee will conduct this meeting in whole or in part by remote
technology so as to provide reasonably available participation by members of the Committee
and observation by the public, consistent with the requirements of Ordinance No. 79, 2020,
because meeting in person would not be prudent for some or all persons due to the current
public health situation.
“Investment Manager" is the role identified in the General Employee Retirement Plan as the
person who provides investment advice to the GERC, implements GERC funding directives, or
otherwise manages and invests the assets of the fund.
1. Citizen Participation and Plan Member Comments - none made or noted
2. Plan Participation Updates (Blaine Dunn) A plan member passed away early in the last
month and we are having trouble finding next of kin – they were overpaid – we have already
issued full payment for the month. Recovering these funds is required per the plan
document. We are considering updating the plan document to allow for overpayment if part
of a month.

3. Consider approving the minutes from the meeting of April 8, 2021.
A motion to approve the minutes was made by Ralph Zentz. Del Bernhardt seconded the
motion. Minutes approved as presented via rollcall. All in favor: Kelley Vodden, Jackie
Darner, Ralph Zentz, Del Bernhardt, and Clark Mapes. None opposed
Blaine and Nikki to meet and follow up on Item #5 described in the April 8, 2021, Meeting
minutes (see below) and provide an update to the committee.
4. Quarterly Investment Report (Blaine Dunn) Quarter ending June 30, 2021
5. Other Business:
There is a vacancy on the GERC - interviews to be conducted by the City Clerk’s office and then
any recommendations will go to Council for appointment.
