CALL TO ORDER This meeting was called to order at 5:30pm by Vice Chair: Dimitry Valchansky leading the meeting for Chair: Dylan Lindsay. 2. ROLL CALL a. Eva Calva, Dimitry Volchansky, Kristin Mera-Cano, Sean Alcazar-Chavez b. Members Absent – Dylan Lindsey c. Staff Present – Sierra Anderson (City Manager’s Office), Jelitza Garcia Martinez (Rec Intern; Secretary) 3. COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION - None 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES (January 2021) a. Dimity made a motion to approve the minutes from February, motion was 2nd and approved as read. 5. NEW BUSINESS a. Approval of 2021 Work Plan • Dimitry: o Dimitry read off the goals and work plan steps. o Moved to approve the work plan. Motion was seconded and put up for vote. Motion was approved. 6. DISCUSSION ITEMS a. 6-mo Planning Calendar review & member recommendations for project proposals. • Sierra: o shared the calendar and it was explained and talked over with YAB 7. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS (COMMITTEES, EVENT ATTENDANCE ETC.) YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD REGULAR MEETING a. Dimitry: • Environmental Club at Fort Collins High School would like to learn more about Our Climate Future and plans that the City has for environmental projects or environmental engineers to talk at Fort Collins High School. o Sarah or Sierra can make a connection for Dimitry separate from YAB 8. OTHER BUSINESS a. Recommendations and referrals from member recommendations for project proposals. • Ex. 2020 Board requests were: • County Nicotine Action Force • Transportation Services • Connexion Internet Treatment • (Waste) Water Treatment • Dimitry: o Information about: • Low income programs • Environmental programs • Connexion and transportation services • Eva: o Involving Latinx population with community events: • Are there public events that can be shared with this community to get Latinx population involved? o What is the City doing to engage this population? • Kristin o Agrees with Eva and Dimitry on topics to learn more about. • What programs can Latinx population be involved with and opportunities with Low-income opportunities for present and future? YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD REGULAR MEETING • What is the city doing to engage Latinx population? • Dimitry tabled Dylan’s presentation for next meeting. 9. ADJOURNMENT a. The meeting was adjourned at 6:13pm by Vice Chair: Dimitry Volchansky NEXT MEETING – April 1st, 5pm presentation; 5:30-6:30pm meeting via Zoom
