APPROV AL OF MINUTES
Consideration and approval of the minutes from December 17, 2020. Vicki Fogel Mykles
made a motion to accept the minutes. Jennifer Zidon seconded the motion. The motion
passed unanimously. Approved by roll call, Ayes: Will Flowers, Zackery Klassen, Vicki Fogel
Mykles, Jennifer Zidon.

NEW BUSINESS
New Member Introduction – Jean McGinnis
o Jean McGinnis introduced herself and gave a brief history of her background.
Katy Schneider, Director of Marketing, Visit Fort Collins – Update
o Lodging tax was down 50% in 2020.
o The Marketplace website (which supports and promotes local businesses), was
launched last fall. It has generated $25,000 and there has been very positive
feedback.
o Jim McDonald reminded the Board that the Department is supporting the Visit Fort
Collins marketing program that focuses on the creative sector in 2021.
Election of Officers
o Vicki Fogel Mykles made a motion to have Will Flowers remain as Chair. Jennifer
Zidon seconded the motion. Approved by roll call, Ayes: Will Flowers, Zackery
Klassen, Jean McGinnis, Vicki Fogel Mykles, Jennifer Zidon.
o Jean McGinnis made a motion to have Vicki Fogel Mykles to remain as Vice Chair.
Jennifer Zidon seconded the motion. Approved by roll call, Ayes: Will Flowers,
Zackery Klassen, Jean McGinnis, Vicki Fogel Mykles, Jennifer Zidon.
2020 Annual Report Adoption
o Consideration and adoption of the Cultural Resources Board 2020 Annual Report.
Jennifer Zidon made a motion to adopt the Cultural Resources Board 2020 Annual

2020 Fort Fund Grant Update
o Jim McDonald gave an update on the 2020 Fort Fund grants. He reviewed the
number of grants that were complete, in progress or were cancelled. He further
noted if the programming was live, virtual or both.
2021 Fort Fund Review Process – per COVID-19
o Jim McDonald noted that two COVID-19 questions were added to the Fort Fund
grant applications for 2021. These questions address if the applicant would be able
to present their event with current COVID-19 restrictions in place and if they have
read the Fort Fund Guidelines.
o Related to the impact of COVID-19 on the organization’s proposed activity, Jim
McDonald brought a recommendation forward to score the grant applications using
the existing questions and language in the scoring matrix. This could include project
design, artistic excellence or community impact. McDonald noted that he had
previously discussed the recommendation with Will Flowers, who agreed. Following
a discussion, the Board agreed with proposed method.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT
BOARD MEMBER REPORTS:
Vicki Fogel Mykles attended the Mental Health: Mind Matters exhibit at the Fort Collins
Museum of Discovery.
Zackery Klassen watched the live stream of Debut Theatre’s presentation of “It’s a
Wonderful Life.”
Jennifer Zidon’s daughter listened at school to the Fort Collins Symphony’s Youth
Education Series Concert which was filmed/live streamed from The Lincoln Center.

Zackery Klassen made a motion to adjourn at 6:54 PM. Jennifer Zidon seconded the
motion. The motion passed unanimously. Approved by roll call, Ayes: Will Flowers,
Zackery Klassen, Jean McGinnis, Vicki Fogel Mykles, Jennifer Zidon.
