Minutes
Wednesday February 12, 2020 11:30 a.m.

Mission: The Senior Advisory Board shall serve in an advisory capacity y to the Fort Collins City
Council on programs and policies that help aging citizens live full and interesting lives and continue to
contribute, participate, and share in the life of the community.
NOTE: light lunch will be served
I. Call to Order -11:30am
II. Guest introductions: None
III. Administrative Items
a. In Attendance: Nancy Luttropp, Myles Crane, Greg Wells, Deanna O’Connell, Jan Rossi,
Suzanne King, Sarah Schilz, David Kovach

b. Approval of Minutes: David Kovach made the motion to approve, Sarah seconded.

V. Ongoing Business
a. Respectful Workplace training – Everyone has viewed the video.
b. State of the City – there is an 11 minute segment online to view.
c. SAB Meetings Community Outreach Locations
VI. Speakers: Elizabeth Blythe, Sr Coordinator, Public Engagement
a. Watch for the questionnaire via email.
VII. Ongoing initiatives
a. Intergenerational Conversations Feb 22nd RMNS – looking for participant age 14-22years
b. Neighborhood Livability/Council Six-month calendar – See information online
c. City Council meetings and Super Board Issues – Feb 24th 6-8pm
i. Myles recommended that one SAB member attend or listen to the City Council
Meeting each month and report back with public comments.
VIII. Updates
a. Transportation: City & PAFC
b. Affordable Housing Board & PAFC
c. Other PAFC: None
IX. New Business
a. E-Bike Presentation review – discussion about supporting the use of E-Bikes on Public
Pathways.
i. Myles will draft a statement to City Council regarding support or opposition of
the presentation from last month.
b. SAB officer slate for March 2020 elections – Myles would like to continue as chairman
and recommended that Sarah continue as co-chair.
UPCOMING EVENTS and OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
I. Wellness and Retirement Expo at the Senior Center – representation from the board to have a
booth.
II. March 11th, Center on Health Aging
III. Next Meeting will be held at Oakbrook II. 3300 Stanford Rd.
