1. CALL TO ORDER
● Hannah called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
● Commission Members Present - Lyssa del la Torre, Shana Ryken, Melanie
Potyondy, Erma Woodfin, Kori Wilford, Shannon Hein, City of Fort Collins staff
liaison
● Absent - Nadine Nehme
3. AGENDA REVIEW
● No changes made
4. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION - no citizen participation
5. PRESENTATION
City of Fort Collins - Halligan Water Supply Project - Eileen Dornfest, Project Manager
● Project was initiated 13 years ago
● Environmental Impact Survey (EIS) draft completed
● Public comment will be next stage of project
● www.fcgov.com/halligan
6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JUNE
a. Melanie moved to approve the June 19 minutes as written. Erma seconds. No
discussion.
b. Members in favor: 6 Opposed: 0
7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
a. Identify two attendees for Women’s Foundation Luncheon
■ Erma and Alyssa will be attending. Shannon has already purchased the
tickets for them.
b. September 18th - Panel Planning
■ Women on the Move: Safety and Transportation in Fort Collins
■ Confirmed speakers: Ashley Jaramillo with Transfort, Amanda Mansfield
with FCMoves

a. Shannon and Melanie are exploring one or more additional
speakers
b. Shayna will ask someone from RAM Ride
● Themes for panel:
a. What efforts exist to promote and ensure safety (for women
especially) using public transportation.
b. What are the data you collect to assess safety and address
problems? How are problems like poorly lit areas addressed?
c. How can citizens help with these issues?
● Promotion: Share within our own networks, Hannah will reach out to
some key women’s group and those underserved.
c. Collaborations with other Boards and Commissions
● Erma has attended the Intergenerational Conversations - now called
“Let’s Talk” with the Senior Advisory Board. Going forward, there will
be a topic of conversation selected.
● Women’s Commission’s role is to help promote and let people know
about this.
7. NEW BUSINESS
a. Marcile N. Wood Award timeline - Committee Creation
i. Kori, Lyssa, Hannah, Shayna will work on this
ii. Kori will create a plan with timeline and activities to complete by
iii. Hannah will contact HRC about date of awards
8. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS
Council meetings
a. Lyssa is putting names and dates on the shared calendar
b. October 1 - Domestic Violence Prevention proclamation
c. October 15 - Kori
d. Nov. 5 - Hannah and Kori proclamation - National Homeless - Kori will contact
Whitney with PSD (McWhinney), Homeward Alliance

Shayna sent Resolution to council, so it is in their hands. Shannon Hein will help to
determine what the next steps are. Lexie will contact Councilmember Gorgol to discuss.
