1. Introductions:
2. Approval of Minutes: February-Minutes passed as amended, Hueber moved to
approve Schlicting seconded.
3. Open Discussion:
A. Michael Pruznick shared his views with the COD on transportation
improvements for Fort Collins. He would like to see more services and easy,
safe transportation for all. Pruznick would like the city to look into zoning for
tiny homes to cut down on cost for city services and making more affordable
housing in Fort Collins. He is also concerned about hate and discrimination in
Fort Collins and feels the City needs to work hard against this.
B. Vera Pruznick told about her problem with not being able to reach the
crosswalk button while riding her recumbent bicycle. The conversation moved
to the discussion the commission had with Joe Olson about the pushbuttons and
the problems with hand cycles and recumbent bike riders not able to press the
cross walk buttons from the bikes without having to get off the bike. The COD
would like to have some members of the city staff to have a ride along with
several members of the COD on recumbent bikes or hand cycles.
4. New Business:
A. Morgan gave a presentation on the development of the Brickstone Apartments that
will be built adjacent to the property of the Harmony Road Apartments. The
Harmony Road Apartments are home to 24 Fort Collins residents with neurological
and physical disabilities. The concern being a shared driveway for the new
apartments and the safety of the residents living at the Harmony Road Apartments.
The Harmony Road Apartment residents will also be losing access to natural green
space. After a discussion the COD would like to focus on sidewalk improvements
on Harmony Road. Schlicting suggested a flashing crosswalk for added safety. The
COD would like to invite Martinez to our April meeting to share our concerns.
B. Wilder gave a bus stop improvement up dated. He talked about the cost, long-
term plans and needs. Wilder told where the progresses of updating the bus
stop are at this time. He gave time to answer any questions the COD had.
5. Unfinished Business:
A. Annual report, Hueber will go over, amend and update the annual report to be
voted on by COD.
B. Michael Gebo letter was sent before deadline with the 60 inches minimum in
width and with 36 inches minimum in depth for the roll in showers.
