CALL TO ORDER
The meeting commenced at 5:30 pm.
AGENDA REVIEW
The agenda was unanimously approved with a minor change in the order of Meeting Business topics.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The May meeting minutes were unanimously approved.
PUBLIC INPUT
Council Liaison Overbeck thanked Commissioners for their ongoing contributions, and review of short-term
rentals and other issues related to the sharing economy. He encouraged the Commission to continue
considering the needs of disabled community members and how the City can work to make the community
more accessible and inclusive to all residents and visitors. He asked Commissioners to review the presentation
topics for a National Americans with Disabilities Conference he is attending, and to share suggestions for issues
they think are relevant to the City.
Kimberly Chambers, Director of NoCo Pride, announced LGBT PRIDE Pride OUTside on July 23rd in Civic Center
Park.
A motion for the HRC to announce LGBT PRIDE Month at the June 21st Council Meeting was unanimously
approved. Commissioners Sagas and Ulloa Girón will attend and make the announcement.
MEETING BUSINESS
Requests for HRC Support: A motion to explore creating a process template of when and how the HRC formally
supports community organizations was approved with one abstention.
Meeting Highlights Summary
1. Councilmember Overbeck discussed issues re: Short Term Rentals and accessibility.
2. HRC approved a motion to advise Council re: a budgeting proposal for equity and inclusion Program
Manager positions.
3. HRC approved a motion to advise Council re: discussion for a Short Term Rental Licensing ordinance.

June Forum Feedback: The forum survey feedback will be shared after it is complied. A written forum
presentation summary will be submitted to the Coloradoan for requested publication.
HRC Awards Event Update: Tabled to the July meeting.
Community Equity Initiative Input: Chair Smith shared the Initiative’s draft mission statement and stated the
Initiative plans to reach out to the community after further clarifying its purpose.
Agenda Planning: Kimberly Chambers offered to provide equality training to the HRC. It will be scheduled during
a regular HRC meeting with date pending.
Multicultural Retreat: The Retreat is scheduled for September 24-25, 2016. Details are on the City’s Social
Sustainability web page: http://www.fcgov.com/socialsustainability/retreat.php.
BFO Gathering/Council Memo: A motion to send a memo to Council in support of a budget offer for additional
City Staff for community equity and inclusion work was unanimously approved.
Short-term Rentals: Commissioners reviewed the information and City Questionnaire re: City Short-term
Rentals.
A motion to write a memo to Council asking them to consider how the proposed guidelines will affect the
renters of the accommodations was unanimously approved.
UPCOMING Events/Announcements
Other per Commissioners:
Poudre River Library is hosting Imaginanates, an event that explores cultural heritage and identity through art.
Homeless Awareness Month is being hosted by Poudre Library in November 2016.
Community members in support of reinstating the PSD Family, Community and Equity Coordinator Position
spoke at a recent School Board meeting. A Facebook page has been created to support the reinstatement effort.
A letter regarding the elimination of the PSD Family, Community and Equity Coordinator Position will be sent
on behalf of the HRC.

Commissioners unanimously approved adjournment at 7:40 pm.
Next HRC meeting is Thursday, July 14th at 5:30 pm in the CIC Room, City Hall West.
