2015 Work Plan & Meeting Schedule
2015 Meeting Schedule
Regular meetings of the General Employees’ Retirement Committee (GERC) are scheduled for
the second Thursday of every month and are held at 215 North Mason in conference room 2A
beginning at 1:15pm. The 2015 GERC meeting schedule is:
January 7 April 9 July 9 October 8
February 12 May 14 August 13 November 12
March 12 June 11 September 10 December 10
2015 GERC Work Plan
Prepare 2014 GERC Annual Report for City Council prior to January 31, 2015.
Elect Officers and Review GERC standing rules in February, 2015.
Continue Monitoring of Retirement Plan and the appropriate level of contributions.
Revise actuarial assumptions prior to March 1, if necessary, for the 2015 Report.
Distribute ‘Personal Retirement Planning Statement’ forms in April 2015.
Review Quarterly and Monthly Investment Reports.
Review legislative issues with actuarial consultant and support staff.
Review contract for renewal of actuarial consultant services in June 2015.
Review implications of implementing GASB 67 and 68
Prepare Work Plan for 2016 by November 30, 2015.
Provide educational opportunities for GERP members when needed.
The web site for the General Employees’ Retirement Committee will be monitored,
updated as needed, and the minutes will be posted once they have been approved and
signed.
Consider recommending retirement transition modifications to the plan
