Klender, Rose Luna, Michael Marr, Michelle Miller

Guests: Jerediah Burianek, Dave King, and Andrea Liebel
Called to Order: 12:30 pm
1. Introductions: Guests, Board Members and City Liaisons introduced themselves.
2. Approval of Minutes from January: Coon moved to approve. Marr seconded.
3. Open Discussion General Public: None.
4. New Business:
a) Transfort Bus Route Changes Presentation-- Jerediah Burianek
Presented proposed route changes for Transfort. Additional East-West
service, additional service hours and increased frequencies.
Ridetransfort.com is the new website.
Transfort will eliminate the N/S Timberline route due to low ridership.
Their plan is to serve Timberline via E/W routes.
Extension out on East Mulberry to the North.
Expanded Dial-A-Ride to ¾ mile from fixed routes of Transfort. (Federal
ADA guideline.)
Technology enhanced rider information. Google Transit. ADA calls made
on busses.
b) Travel Training Program—Andrea Liebel is the new travel training
coordinator for Transfort. She is planning route awareness.
c) World Class Accessible Community Discussion: Dan Weinheimer will
present next month. Fort Collins wants to be a World Class Accessible
City.
There was a short discussion of some ideas that would make FC a World
Class Accessible community. Ideas included exceeding federal guidelines
for Dial-A-Ride services, accessible housing clearing house, responding to
sidewalk survey to address ADA issues. Dan Weinheimer will come next
month to discuss with us.
5. Old Business
a) Person First Festival-David King—King is asking for 3K-4K for the festival
from the City.
David King would be interested in letting the COD have 20 minutes to
present on anything we would like at the festival. The Board would consist of
community leaders.
b) There is a possibility of growing a central clearing house entity (non-profit)
eventually. Affordable/accessible Housing—Jeff Coon—Accessible housing
study? Could it be done? Could we partner with Affordable housing to
commission a study?
6. Community News and Updates
a) Rose Luna has a concern with Yellow Cab has taken over for Dial-A-Ride. The
driver wasn’t trained to drive people with developmental or TBI disabilities.
