about safety, health and poverty.

Young, Annette Zacharias
Staff Liaison: Suzanne Jarboe-Simpson
Absent: Lea Hanson, Merry Hummell, Ginny Carroll

after dark in parks, downtown, and walking to cars
2. Women’s Foundation Conversation — September 9

d. Guests for next year - Margaritte Salazar
4. Local NPO Listening Sessions - What are the issues facing women in our community?
a. Suggested byiarboe-Simpson and Hanson

Agency representatives together, break them into small groups, discussion,
Re-group to share information
c. Maybe do it like our breakfast and invite the nonprofits
d. Used to be a women’s conference of some sort at the Ranch - might
be an opportunity to ask questions again. Do homework and look at
what local events we may be able to attend or participate in
Ongoing Business

meeting following this event
Hawn is scheduled to attend the CC meeting on November 5th.

How many will be there? Douras, Hawn, Weeden-Osborn, Zacharias will attend. Greany and
Young are maybes
g. Who do we want to invite? Religious leaders in town - interfaith council,
North College Business Association, the Mayor (would like to follow up
with a personal invite to her), Bob Renolds, Rotary, Seroptomists
h. Many people will think this is something that has been fixed, so we will need
to “spin” the invite so people come. They are highlighting SB 22 in this effort
(allows counties to pilot a different way to fund childcare assistance - allows
for the option to phase people off assistance)
