Open Discussion: Angel Jones, an employee of Elderhaus, and Lori Larsen, a client of Elderhaus, visited to share some concerns they have with the recent changes to Transfort bus service that are having a negative impact on Elderhaus clients. Angel noted that the maps are difficult to read, some bus stops have inadequate seating, and that the Transfort website is confusing. More importantly, changes to routes have resulted in clients needing to transfer multiple times to make a trip that previously was achieved via a direct route. This is a very difficult adjustment for many to make, causing confusion and frustration. Angel reported that to some clients, it feels as though bus service has been structured around the needs of our college community and that their needs have been overlooked. Angel was provided with Emma Belmont’s contact information. Emma has expressed that she is willing to speak directly with groups who have questions or concerns. Sylvia Garcia of Poudre River Libraries visited to share information on Assistive Technologies available at the Main and Harmony Libraries. She provided copies of the library brochure detailing what technologies are available. New Business: Work Plan – Rosanne McDonnell will check with Jeni Arndt on work plan progress. We may submit our work plan in the old format if necessary. CDDC – Michelle Miller reported that she will likely be in attendance at this meeting. Board & Commission Liaisons – Assignments were reviewed and updated. MAX – Michael Devereaux reported that the MAX has been very busy and has good ridership. Old Business: COD Meeting Dates – Possible changes to COD meeting dates were discussed. It was decided that the schedule will remain as is with the exception of Oct-Dec. Due to the Mayor’s Awards and holidays, the meeting may be held on the 2 nd Thursday during those months. We will revisit the question in planning for 2015. Person First Festival – Jeff Coon is now serving as a co-chair for this event due to Dave King moving out of the area. Jeff reported on festival planning progress. Affordable Housing - Michael Marr and Jeff Coon will be attending an Affordable Housing meeting to pass on information regarding Accessible Spaces. Jeff reported that the first step in any potential project would be a feasibility study that provided hard numbers around current availability of accessible housing and unmet need for the same. With no other business being presented for discussion, Michael Marr moved to adjourn the meeting. Leslie Efrid seconded the motion and meeting was adjourned at 1:54pm. Submitted by: Hettie Hueber
