Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on July 15, 2013 in Municipal Court, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Bronwyn Scurlock, Assistant City Attorney Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Mark Climovici, Liquor Enforcement Officer Daniel Callahan, Liquor Enforcement Officer Approval of Minutes Judge Lane approved the minutes front July 1, 2013 Registration of Ryan Peterson as Manager of Noodles & Company, 650 South College Avenue Ryan Peterson, manager applicant, stated he has been an employee with Noodles & Company for several years. He stated Noodles & Company uses the SafeServe program to train employees with respect to the sale and service of alcohol. Mr. Peterson stated that any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. He stated he has a current copy of the liquor code on premise. Judge Lane approved the registration of Ryan Peterson as manager of Noodles & Company, 650 South College Avenue. Registration of Laura Marguiles as Manager of Carrabba's at 1212 Oakridge Drive, Approved Laura Marguiles, manager applicant, stated she has worked for the parent company for over 5 years. She stated the training program the use to train all their employees is Responsible Beverage Vending Serivice. Ms. Marguiles stated she works 60-70 hours per week. She stated she has had experience with dealing with visibly intoxicated patrons. Ms. Marquiles stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. She stated she has a current copy of the liquor code on premise. Ms. Mfarquiles stated any patron ordering an alcoholic beverage is required to show valid identification if they appear to be under the age of 40. Judge Lane approved the registration of Laura 1\4arguilcs as manager of Carrabba's at 1212 Oakridge Drive. July 15, 2013 Request from Glozer, LLC, dba Lyric Cinema Cafe to Temporarily Change, Alter, or Modify the licensed premises at 300 East Mountain Avenue on August9, 2013, Approved Ben Glozer, representative for Glozer, LLC, stated this is their first outdoor event. He stated he has consulted with several individuals to make sure this is a successful first-time event with respect to proper staffing levels. Mr. Glozer stated they will use orange snow fencing to enclose the requested permitted area. He stated he has applied for a police special events permit. Judge Lane approved the request from Glozer, LLC, dba Lyric Cinema Cafe to temporarily change, alter, or modify the licensed premises at 300 East Mountain Avenue on August 9, 2013. Hearing on a New Application from Dancing Sisters, LLC, for a beer and wine license at DRYology, 217 Linden Street, Suite B, Approved Jennifer Freeman, representative for Dancing Sisters, LLC, briefly described the concept of this business. She stated their primary business is as a hair salon and not a bar. Ms. Freeman stated any patron ordering an alcoholic beverage who appears to be under the age of 40 will be carded. She stated she has written up policies and procedures with respect to which id's to be accepted. Ms. Freeman stated she and/or her sister, Julie Urich will be on premise at all times. Ellen Just, representative for Aggie Agency Petitioning, briefly described the petitioning process. She stated the neighborhood shows support for this application and that the biggest complaint she received was, that individuals are tired of signing petitions regarding liquor license applications.
