Board Members Present: Tommy Long, Natalie Pederson, Sarah Pruznick, Pranaya Sethe,
Langston Stuckey, Patrice Quadrel, Nathan Welch
Board Members Absent: Kelsey Hennig, Siyu Wu
Staff Members Present: Megan Greer, Administration- Recreation Department
Guest Present: Craig Foreman from Park Planning and Developmental
Department
Call Meeting to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Pranaya Sathe at 6:35 p.m.
Approval of Minutes:
Minutes approved 7-0, motioned by Nathan, seconded by Tommy.
Introduction of New Members:
None
Agenda Review:
None
Citizen Participation:
Craig Foreman from the Park Planning and Developmental Department came to update the
Board on statistics and results from the Paved Trail Study. Foreman agreed to send the Board a
draft of his department’s plan concerning the paved trails in Fort Collins sometime in April and
has asked for YAB’s input.
Other Business:
1. Term limits for members of YAB were changed to 3-year terms meeting May-
September. YAB is very pleased with this recent change.
2. Members who participated in the formation of the YAB Annual Report shared
the other members of YAB. It was awesome.
3. Pranaya and Sarah, who attended Mayor Weitkunat’s State of the City
address, shared their experience and input. They feel the event was dull, not
pertinent, not informative, and generally a waste of time.
4. YAB discussed the quickly approaching Jobs of the Future event on April 17
th
a. Basically, no one had called their assigned individuals or entities. A
gentle guilt trip by Megan ensued
b. It was resolved that every member MAKE THEIR CALLS!
c. We set up a special meeting for February 13
th
from 6:30-7:00 to draft a
letter and to make phone calls to our assigned individuals and entities.
5. Chairman’s Report
a. COYAC met with state legislators
i. Sponsoring a bill to prevent youth from riding in cars driven by
those under the influence of drugs or alcohol
b. COYAC is seeking applicants from Senate District 14 to apply for
membership.
Adjournment:
Langston moved to adjourn at 7:40 p.m. and Natalie seconded the motion.
