A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on May 6, 2013 in Municipal Court, 215
North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.

Approval of Minutes
Judge Lane approved the minutes from April 1, 2013 and April 15, 2013.
Registration of Devin Knittle
as Manager of Pizza Hut
1075 Pennock Place, Approved
Devin Knittle, manager applicant, stated he has been with Pizza Hut for several years. He stated he has
recently completed Liquor Enforcement Officer Clitnovici s ServeSafe class. Mr. Knittle stated he
supervises approximately 20 employees with 5 involved in the sale and service of alcohol. He stated
their liquor sales is a small % of their gross sales. Mr. Knittle stated employees must card every patron
that order an alcohol beverage. He stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code is
immediately terminated. Mr. Knittle stated they have a current copy of the liquor code on preinise.
Judge Lane approved the registration of David Knittle as manager of Pizza Hut, 1075 Pennock Place.
Registration of Robert Archer as Manager of
BJ's Restaruant & Brewhouse,
2670 East Harmony, Approved
Robert Archer, manager applicant, stated he has been with BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse for several
years in Boulder and in Longmont. He stated l3J's has an extensive training program for servers and
that any patron that appears to be under the age of 35 is to be carded. Mr. Archer stated servers are not
allowed to serve anyone with a portrait oriented license. He stated the training BJ's will provide will
cover Colorado liquor laws, how to identify fake i.d.'s, and potential issues serving alcohol in a college
town. 71Ir. Archer stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code will be immediately
terminated.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Robert Archer as the manager of BJ's Restaurant& Brewhouse,
2670 East Harmony Road.

Request from Suehiro of Fort Collins, Inc., dba
Suehiro Japanese Restaurant to
Change, Alter, or Modify the
Licensed Premises at 223 Linden Street, #103, Approved
Edward Kendall, representative for Suehiro of Fort Collins, Inc., briefly described the proposed
modifications. He stated they are moving a bar from the back of the restaurant to the front of the
restaurant to accommodate late night patrons. Mr. Kendall stated he will stop serving at 1:00 a.m. and
that all the alcohol will be stored in the bar. He stated when the area is not open it will be locked
behind a gate. In response to a question from the Authority, Mr. Kendall stated this area is currently
licensed. He stated he did talk to several neighbors about these changes and received support given
their responsible conduct in the past. Mr. Kendall stated they are still primarily a restaurant.
Judge Lane approved the request from Suehiro of Fort Collins, Inc., dba Suehiro Japanese Restaurant
to Change, Alter, or Modify the licensed premises at 223 Linden Street, #103.
Transfer of Ownership of Gelazzi Gelato Italiano Cafe,
128 South College Avenue from Gelazzi, Inc.,
to Gelazzi Store 001, LLC, Approved
Leigh Rubino, representative for Gelazzi Store 001, LLC, stated the alcohol service is a small part of
their total sales. She stated her manager has been at this store for several years and has received training
in the sale and service of alcohol. In response to the question from the Authority, Ms. Rubino stated
the premises are small enough that it is easy to monitor the entire premises. She stated they are
primarily an ice cream establishment not a bar. Judge Lane requested that Ms. Rubino submit proof of
training within 60 days.
Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Gelazzi Gelato Italiano Cafc, 128 South College
Avenue from Gelazzi, Inc., to Gelazzi Store 001, LLC.
