Staff Liaison: Aimee Jensen A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on July 1, 2013 in Municipal Court, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding. Staff in attendance: Bromvyn Scurlock, Assistant City Attorney Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk Mark Climovici, Liquor Enforcement Officer Daniel Callahan, Liquor Enforcement Officer Approval of Minutes Judge Lane approved the minutes from June 17, 2013. Registration of Lindsey Antanitis as Manager of the Town Pump, 124 North College Avenue, Approved Lindsey Antanitis, manager applicant, stated that all patrons are carded regardless of their age. She stated that the bartenders are encouraged to call the police if there is a disturbance. Ms. Antanitis stated that any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. She stated that they have a current liquor code on premise. Judge Lane approved the registration of Lindsey Antanitis as manager of The Town Pump, 124 North College Avenue. Registration of Alicia Smith -Morris as Manager of Noodles & Company, 3519 South College Avenue, Approved Alicia Smith -Morris, manager applicant, stated any patron that orders alcohol is carded and that only managers are allowed to serve alcohol. She stated that she supervises approximately 30 employees. Ms. Snnith-Morris stated she is scheduled to take the Serve Safe class. She stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. Nis. Smith -Morris stated they have a current copy of the liquor code on premise. Judge Lane approved the registration of Alicia Smith -Morris as manager of Noodles & Company, 3519 South College Avenue. July 1, 2013 Request from Dos Payaso, LLC dba El Monte Grill & Lounge to Temporarily Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at 1611 South College Avenue, Suite 100 on September 7, 2013, Approved Lorna Applebee, representative for Dos Payaso, LLC, stated this is the fourth year for this event and that there have been no problems. In response to a question from the Authority-, Ms. Applebee stated there are no changes from last year. Judge Lane approved the request from Dos Payaso, LLC dba El Monte Grill & Lounge to Temporarily Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at 1611 South College Avenue, Suite 100 on September 7, 2013. Hearing on a Change of Location Application from La Luz Mexican Grill, Inc., for a change of location for the hotel -restaurant liquor license at La Luz Mexican Grill, from 200 B Walnut Street to 200 A Walnut Street, Approved Peter Schultz, representative for La Luz Mexican Grill, Inc., was sworn. Mr. Schultz stated that the square footage for this new location is the same as the previous location. He stated that the patio fence will be replaced, however, the material and height will be similar to the previous fence. Mr. Schultz stated he will provide Deputy City Clerk Jensen with additional dimensions for the interior walls. He stated he anticipates staying open until midnight or 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Mr. Schultz emphasized that he will remain a restaurant. Mr. Schultz briefly reviewed the petitioning process. He stated the opposing signatures were from individuals that were patrons of Rasta Pasta. Mr. Schultz stated that they received overwhelming support for this application. Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2013-22 from La Luz Mexican Grill, Inc., for a change of location for the hotel -restaurant liquor license at La Luz Mexican Grill, from 200 B Walnut Street to 200 A Walnut Street. Transfer of Ownership of North College Discount Liquors, 814 North College Avenue from BS Investments, Inc., to Poudre Liquors, LLC and Trade Name Change to Poudre Liquors, Approved Kevin Brock, representative for Poudre Liquors, LLC, stated there are no physical changes to the Premises. He stated he has four employees and that he is on premise during die day. Mr. Brock stated he will be involved with the day to day operations. He stated that his employees are required to card any patron that appears to be under die age of 45. Mr. Brock stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code will be immediately terminated. He stated he has a current copy of the liquor code on premise. July 1, 2013 Transfer of Ownership of Tortilla Marissa's, 2635 South College Avenue from Tortilla Marissa's, Inc., to Fort Flats PD2, LLC, Approved Mike Piotraschke, representative for Fort Flats PD2, LLC, stated he has been at this location since 1995. He stated patrons will not notice any changes to the restaurant, emphasizing that this location will remain a restaurant. Mr. Piotrasclike stated that he has approximately 18 employees of which, 10-12 are involved with the sale and service of alcohol. He stated employees are instructed to card any patron ordering alcohol that appears to be under the age of 30. Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Tortilla Marissa's, 2635 South College Avenue from Tortilla Marissa's, Inc., to Fort Flats PD2, LLC. Adiournment m. Municipal Judge
