COD discussed the new Transfort hours and routes.
5. Old Business
a. Hearing Loop Update - Cozzens
Cozzens reported that the hearing loop was installed yesterday (12/21/2011) in the
Council Chamber. COD members took a brief tour of the chamber to see where
the loop was installed. The loop should be fully operational in January. Nice job,
Ethan. Also at the recommendation of the COD, automatic door openers were
installed on the Council Chamber and Council Information Center doors.
b. Bullying Forum Update - Hueber
Hueber feels that if the COD partners with the Human Relations Commission on
this event in 2012, COD should have more involvement and convey more of a
presence. All agreed. The forum is currently looping on Channel 14, for those
who were unable to attend. Coon will invite Connor (the student whose
cause/project we represented at the Forum) to the January 2012 meeting, when we
will have our new members on board.
c. Elderhaus Crosswalk – Cozzens
Joe Olson, COFC City Traffic Engineer, has met with the Church and Elderhaus
to discuss the current issues and to work through possible fixes.
d. 2012 COD Work Plan
Approved by sub-committee in November.
6. Community News and Updates
The COD Summary of 2011 is due January 30, 2012.
COD needs to elect/vote members to offices at the January, no later than February,
meeting. The next meeting is January 26, 2012.
