4. New Business
a. Ravenschlag brought samples of the new Transfort bus schedules for the COD to
preview. Each route has an individual schedule and timetable.
b. Hueber will respond to the invitation of the Human Relations Commission to
attend their planning session for an “Anti-Bullying Campaign”. Coon, Hueber and
Miller will attend their next meeting.
c. Cavallaro will be resigning his seat on the COD due to a new job that prohibits his
meeting attendance. Perry is resigning her seat due to health reasons. Both are
encouraged to attend meetings as public entities, when able.
5. Old Business
a. Hearing Loop Update
While waiting for a response from our City Council liaison, Coon looked into
what is currently being utilized for hearing impaired visitors to the City
Chambers. The chambers are equipped with FM receivers and headphones.
Schlicting and Miller will gather more information on public listening devices
before any formal recommendations are made to City Council. Coon will draft a
courtesy update e-mail to Don Willson.
b. Mayor’s Awards Update
Sub committee meeting following adjournment of COD meeting/business.
Hueber reported a date has been selected, October 20, 2011. She has confirmed
that the mayor will be in attendance. Discussion revolved around getting more
community involvement for nominations this year.
c. Boards/Commissions Liaison Discussion
Updating assignments and communication with liaisons will be on the agenda for
the August meeting.
6. Community News and Updates
Perry reported two cars that were parking too close to bus stop structures to city
police.
