Regular Meeting - August 23, 2010

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on August 23, 2010 in Municipal Court,
215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.

Agenda Review
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there were no changes to the agenda.
Approval of Minutes
Judge Lane approved the minutes from July 19, 2010.
Request from Dos Payaso, LLC,
dba E1 Monte Grill to
Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at
1611 South College Avenue, Suite 100 on August 28, 2010, Approved
Joshua Fay, manager, briefly described the event and the petitioning process. He stated he petitioned
his most immediate neighbors and received positive comments regarding their application. Mr. Fay
stated all the servers are TIP's trained. He stated they intend to do this event on an annual basis.
Judge Lane approved the request from Dos Payaso, LLC, dba El Monte Grillto change, alter, or modify
the licensed premises at 1611 South College Avenue, Suite 100 on August 28, 2010.
Hearing on a Change of Location Application
from KT Productions, Inc., to move a tavern liquor license from
3509 South Mason Street to 3750 South Mason Street, Approved
Kurt Terrio, representative for KT Productions, Inc., was sworn. He stated this new premise will also
be available to host conferences and business meetings. Mr. Terrio stated they will schedule banquets
as requested and properly staffed them with trained employees. He stated their regular performances
will be the regular days as the current location, Mursdayevening through Sundayaftemoon. Mr Terrio
stated they will be opening mid -November. He stated they will be storing all their liquor in the bar,
locked up.

Mr. Terrio stated the petitioning went well and that they received many positive comments in support
of the this application. He stated even though residents tended to be reluctant to sign the petition, they
were still in support of the application.
Judge Lane adopted resolution 2010-09 approving the change of location application from KT
Productions, Inc., to move a tavem liquor license from 3509 South Mason Street to 3750 South Mason
Street.
Transfer of Ownership of Stone House Grill,
125 North College Avenue, from Stonehouse Pubs One, LLC
to CO Beach House, LLC and
Trade Name Change to Beach House Grill, Approved
Steve Lauer, representative for CO Beach House, LLC, introduced James Lord, manager applicant, and
Brooke Hieligh, bar manager. Mr. Lauer stated theyhave been open for nearlya month and so far have
had 60% food sales to 40% alcohol sales. He briefly described his background, stated that he has his
entire staff scheduled to attend Liquor Enforcement Officer's Younger's training on September 27. Mr.
Lauer stated he has retained all the staff from the previous owners and the onlychanges have been are
cosmetic. He stated he did add 15 feet to the bar. Mr. Lauer stated they are keeping the same hours
as Stonehouse Grille. He stated he has 13 bar staff and 32 servers.
Judge Lane approved the transfer of ownership of Stone House Grille, 125 South College Avenue, from
Stonehouse Pubs, LLC to CO Beach House, LLC and Trade Name Change to Beach House Grill.
Registration of James Lord as
Manager of Beach House Grill,
125 South College Avenue, Approved
James Lord, manager applicant, stated they are members of the Responsible Alcohol Retailers. He
stated any employee found in violation of the liquor code will be immediately terminated. Mr. Lord
stated he has a current copy of the liquor code on premise.
Judge Lane approved the registration of James Lord as manager of Beach House Grill, 125 South
College Avenue.
