Call to Order: 12:25pm

2. Approval of Minutes
Jeff motioned to approve May minutes as written. Mare seconded the motion. May
minutes approved.
3. Open Discussion General Public
Update: Ethan has invited members (and guests) of the COD to stop by the building
at 117 N. Mason, which was newly remodeled, view the vestibule and make
suggestions/comments to him by e-mail.
Ethan reported that an individual who is sight impaired became confused and trapped
in the vestibule. The door this person wanted to enter was off to the side, not directly
in line with the doors entered. This forced the person to make a complete circuit of
the vestibule feeling with their hands. Jeff Coon suggested this building should add a
colored runner leading to the door, or possibly a colored, truncated dome, depending
on the flooring in this vestibule.
4. New Business
a. Mayor’s Awards
Mare Franklin-Gaumer has made a list of “To Do’s” and an approximate timeline
for the Mayor’s Awards on Disability.
Rosanne will schedule the COFC Senior Center for this event. The Senior Center
is not available the second Thursday in October, so Rosanne booked it for
October 21
st
. She will make this change to the postcards that call for nominations.
The deadline for nominations will be September 10
th
. The COD discussed several
options for getting these postcards to possible nominating entities. Postcards will
be mailed/delivered toward the end of August. This sub-committee will meet in
City Chambers on June 24
th
at 12:15.
b. Jen Petrik, Transportation Planner for COFC
Jen presented a PowerPoint presentation for the Pedestrian Plan for Fort Collins.
The COFC Engineering Department will be sponsoring 2 “Plan Fort Collins”
events. These are open to all who have interest and will provide informational
formats, arial maps of Fort Collins and a call for public opinion. She will provide
more detail to the COD by email as the dates approach.
