recommendations at that meeting.
d. Member Resignation – Patello
Due to unforeseen scheduling and time demand conflicts, Michelle Patello must
resign her seat on the COD.
e. Disability Placard Renewal – Cozzens
Cozzens was recently made aware that when an individual with disability plates,
or a placard, renews their tags, they must have an updated form completed by
their doctor. Is this correct? The DMV website provides all the current policies
and laws on parking and plate renewal.
5. Old Business
a. Hearing Loops Discussion
Coon will draft a letter outlining the COD’s endorsement of a trial period of
portable loops and taking into regard the cost of looping for future construction
and remodeling of public buildings. He will e-mail this to members for additions,
deletions, suggestions.
b. Mayor’s Awards Update – Hueber
McDonnell provided postcards, calling for nominations, to members for mailing
and disbursement to agencies and individuals. Hueber will provide a printable
nomination form via e-mail. McDonnell will put it on City Letterhead.
Devereaux will hand deliver postcards to all accessible downtown businesses.
Hueber has been in discussion with the caterer and an ASL interpreter. She has
also given the business that makes the plaques for the awards a “heads up”.
c. Bullying Forum Update - Hueber
This forum might be an opportunity to host a “Spread the Word to End the Word”
table. Hueber will look into locating materials and will follow up with the Human
