Regular Meeting - August 19, 2002

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authoritywas held on August 19, 2002 in Municipal Court,
Justice Center, 201 LaPorte. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.
Staff in attendance: Teresa Ablao, Senior Assistant City Attorney
Richard Johnson, Liquor Enforcement Officer
Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk
Agenda Review
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there are no changes to the agenda.
Consent Agenda
The Consent Agenda is intended to expedite the meeting and allow the Authority to spend its time on
important items on an agenda. Items on the Consent Agenda are (1) routine items; and (2) those of no
perceived controversy. Anyone may request that an item be "pulled" off the Consent Agenda and
considered separately. Items pulled from the Consent Agenda will be considered under "Other
Business" at the end of the meeting.
a. Consideration of an Application from The Food Bank for Latimer Coun , for a Special
Events Permit at 1301 Blue Spruce Drive.
Judge Lane adopted the Consent Agenda.
Request from Nokhu, LLC, to Change, Alter, or Modify the
Licensed Premise at Nokhu on Canyon, Approved
Angela Nacos, representative for Nokhu, LLC, stated the lower level had been inadvertentlyleft off the
original diagram and that this application will correct it. She stated they will be opening in a month.
Judge Lane approved the request from Nokhu, LLC, dba Nokhu on Canyon, 211 West Canyon Avenue
to change, alter, or modify the licensed premise.

Registration of Randy Rider as Manager of
Slider's Sports Bar & Grill, 1006 Spring Creek Lane,. Approved
Randy Rider, manager applicant, has been a silent partner in Slider's until the recent criminal activity
occurred. Mr. Rider stated he has been working and training with Joel Stroud. He stated Mr. Stroud
is the assistant manager and has been in charge since January. Mr. Rider stated he intends to be on
premise 3 days a week He stated this is a temporary situation until they can either sell the business or
re -organize and buy out Scott Franz. Mr. Rider stated if this temporary situation continues beyond 2
or 3 months, they will hire a different manager. He stated they would card anyone appearing to be
under 40 years of age and stated he has emphasized how critical it is to not have any liquor violations.
He stated he has a zero tolerance policy on violating the liquor code though he does not have a copy
on premise. Mr. Rider stated he intends to get this establishment back into the good graces of the City.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Randy Rider as manager of Slider's Sports Bar & Grill, 1006
Spring Creek Lane.
