Regular Meeting - August 10, 2009

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was on August 10, 2009 in Municipal Court,
215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.
Staff in attendance: Jenny LopezFilkins, Assistant City Attorney
Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk
Robert Younger, Liquor Enforcement Officer

Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated that there were no changes to the agenda.
Approval of Minutes
Judge Lane approved the minutes from July 13, 2009.
Registration of Geneva McCarthy as
Manager of Pizza Hut, 2567 South Shields, Approved
Geneva McCarthy, manager applicant, stated she supervises approximately 30 people. She stated
there are no more than 10 employees involved in the sale and service of alcohol. Ms. McCarthy
stated all employees are required to complete corporate training for those involved in the sale and
service of alcohol. She stated she is on premise approximately 45 hours a week. Ms. McCarthy
stated that all patrons ordering an alcoholic beverage is carded. She stated she has a current copy
of the liquor code on premise.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Geneva McCarthy as Manager of Pizza Hut, 2567 South
Shields.

Registration of Steve Barkey as
Manager of Pizza Hut, 1075 Pennock Place, Approved
Steve Barkey, manager applicant, stated he has been with Pizza Hut for 25 years. He stated he and
his staff had completed the required corporate training. Mr. Barkey stated any employee found in
violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Steve Barkey as Manager of Pizza Hut,1075 Pennock Place.
Registration of Ryan Parker as
Manager of Beau Jo's Pizza, 100 North College Avenue, Approved
Ryan Parker, manager applicant, stated he has been with Beau Jo's for 13 years. He stated he is in
the process of scheduling TIP's training for himself and his staff by the end of September. Mr.
Parker stated he supervises approximately 35 employees and is on premise approximately 45 hours
a week. He stated every patron that orders alcohol is carded. Mr. Parker stated any employee found
in violation of the liquor code is immediately terminated. He stated he has a current copy of the
liquor code on premise.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Ryan Parker as Manager of Beau Jo's Pizza, 100 North
College Avenue.
