A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authoritywas held on February7, 2011 in Municipal Court,
215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.

Agenda Review
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated that there are no changes to the agenda as presented.
Approval of Minutes
Judge Lane approved the minutes from January 10, 2011.
Request from CO Beach House, LLC to
Change, Alter, or Modify the Licensed Premises at
125 South College Avenue, Continued to February 28, 2011
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated the Licensee was not present and that the hearing was to be continued
to February 28, 2011.
Request from the Sports eXchange, LLC dba
The Sports eXchange to Change, Alter, or Modify the
Licensed Premises at 214 Linden Street, Approved
Brittney O'Daniel, representative for the Sports eXchange, LLC, stated this application is a result of an
inspection done bythe State. She stated the State discovered the second floor of the restaurant was not
included in the licensed premises when the transfer of ownership took place.
Judge Lane approved the request from the Sports eXchange, LLC, dba The Sports eXchange to change,
alter, or modify the licensed premises at 214 Linden Street.

Registration of Mike Rajewich as Manager of
The Lodge at MacKenzie Place,
4751 Pleasant Oak Drive, Approved
Mike Rajewich, manager applicant, briefly described his employment history. He stated he is in the
process of becoming TIP's certified so that he can train all employees. Mr. Rajewich stated he has
received extensive training from Carraba's and Bennigan's while he was employed there. He stated each
register has an identification book for reference. Mr. Rajewich stated employees are instructed to card
anypatron ordering an alcohol beverage who appears to be 35 years of age or under. He stated the first
time an employee violates the liquor code will receive a written warning. Mr. Rajewich stated he does
have a current copy of the liquor code on premise.
Judge Lane approved the registration of Mike Rajewich as manager of The Lodge at MacKenzie Place,
4751 Pleasant Oak Drive.
Hearing on a New Application from NY Pies, LLC, for a
beer and wine license at Garlic Knot,
2601 South Lemay Avenue, Suite 30, Approved
Kirk Bamesberger, representative for NY Pies, LLC, was swom and stated theywill be doing the Serv-
Safe program to train all employees involved in the sale and service of alcohol. Mr. Bamesberger stated
he will also complete the training he is requiring all his employees to complete. He stated the restaurant
is similar to Noodles and Company or Chipotle. Mr. Bamesberger stated that approximately 90% of
their gross sales will be from the sale of food. He stated the restaurant will not be open late hours. Mr.
Bamesberger stated there will always be a manager or assistant manager on premise. He stated any
patron that order an alcohol beverage will be carded regardless of their age. Mr. Bamesberger stated
he has a current copy of the liquor code on premise.
Mr. Bamesberger briefly described the petitioning process stating that they received many positive
comments in support of this application.
Judge Lane adopted Resolution 11-01 approving a new application from NY Pies, LLC for a beer and
wine license at Garlic Knot, 2601 South Lemay.
Hearing on a New Application from Poseidon Dining, LLC, for a
hotel -restaurant liquor license at
Taverna Greek Restaurant, 4235 South College Avenue, Continued to February 14, 2011
Jared Field, representative for Poseidon Dining, LLC, was sworn. He stated he will eventually be the
registered manager for this location. In response to a question from the Authority, Mr. Jared Field
stated that he is not listed as a member of Poseidon Dining, LLC.
Judge Lane stated that since a "party in interest" was not available to provide evidence at this hearing,
that it be continued to a later date. Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated she will notify the Licensee of the

next available hearing date.
Carol Johnson appeared for Esquire Petitioning, LLC, briefly described the petitioning process. She
stated this is a high approval rating for this application and that they are paid up front for the survey,
not based on results.
