THANK YOU TO GLADYS RUSSELL OF HEAR-N-COLORADO who
attended the August 9th Commission on Disability meeting
with her guest, Barbara Fuller. Although we did not
have a quorum at that meeting, Gladys shared valuable
information about issues facing persons with hearing
loss, a virtually invisible disability. As a part of
Disabled Resource Services, Hear-N-Colorado offers
education, advocacy, support, and socialization for
people with a hearing loss and their families. For more
information, contact Gladys at 568-7610 or
barracuda@frii.com
The commissioners present at the August meeting
requested that Gladys continue to inform us about their
process with Larimer County for accommodations at public
meetings, particularly the purchase of a Harris
communication block with sending unit for persons with
hearing aids.
