The Commission then reviewed the draft letters by Dick Beardmore which will be
used as cover letters for the distribution of the Design Guidelines to the
Cultural Resources Board and the Downtown Development Authority. It was the
general consensus of those members present that the letters looked fine to send
out. Mr. Dewhirst stated that Mr. Beardmore is preparing a couple more cover
letters for other groups in town and that he would get all of these out with
the mailing of the Guidelines soon. He explained that he has given out over
half of the supply they have on hand of the Guidelines and suggested that,
instead of a mass mailing to various groups in town, as was discussed previously,
a supply will be kept in the Planning and Building Inspection Offices for dis-
tribution to sign contractors and other parties who are involved in work in the
Old Town area.
As there was no other business, the meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
