He presented them as Building 1 and Building 2. Building 1 colors planned were Barn Red, Beige, Ivory, and a natural brick color for the columns. He plans on Barn Red for the primary color, beige for the trim and kick plates, ivory for accent on the windows only. Signs will be removed and the kick - plates will be replaced with new wood. Lower section of the building includes replacing of trim, stoop and then the three color scheme will be applied. Ex- isting door and windows will be used but cleaned up. Building 2 colors planned are gold, cream, and grey -green. The gold and cream will be used on the windows and -garage door. The grey -green will be used for the sign panel and doors. Also, a natural brick colored paint will be used for the columns. The sign panel will be established to roughly allign with neigh- boring building. The glass panels and wood panels on the garage door will be replaced. Panels will be recessed. Discussion followed. Dick Beardmore was concerned with the garage doors being accented with cream because it will draw attention to the door. His thoughts were that the door should be under accented so as not to draw any more atten- tion than necessary to the door. Felix mentioned that a sign permit would be needed but since no stuctural work would be done a building permit was not needed. Kelly wanted to go ahead with the sign panel axed wanted to know if he needed a sign permit just for the panel, no lettering. They said he could go ahead at the owners risk because the panel might not be the right height for the code. Wayne moved to approve with the understanding that the cream color be used as a high light color not around garage door. Janet seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. Minutes of the August 23, 1982 meeting were approved. There were some questions as to what reproach the Commission had if applicant didn't do the work as he had presented it to the Commission. Felix was going to check into having legal council at the next meeting so some recourse could be decided on. Evening meeting was discussed and decided to wait until new alternates were elected. Dick read letters written to City Council and Laurie t GPC September 14, 198 • Page 2 aZitowitz regarding her resignation.
