Regular Meeting - May 19, 2008

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on May 19, 2008 in Municipal Court,
Justice Center, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.
Staff in attendance: Teresa Ablao, Assistant City Attorney
Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk
Agenda Review
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated that there were no changes to the agenda.
Approval of Minutes
Judge Lane approved the minutes from May 5, 2008.
Hearing on a New Application from
South China Restaurant, LLC, for a
hotel -restaurant liquor license at
South China Restaurant, 4613 South Mason, Approved
Ming Lee, representative for South China Restaurant, LLC:, was swom. He stated nothing will not
change the premises and the hours of operations. Mr. Lee stated he has not attended any training with
respect to the sale and service of alcohol. He stated he does not expect alcohol sales to significantly
increase. Mr. Lee stated anyemployee found in violation of the liquor code is immediatelytemvnated.
He stated he is responsible for training employees in the sale and service of alcohol. Mr. Lee stated he
has a current copy of the liquor code on premise.
In response to questions from the Authority, Mr. Lee described the petitioning process. Judge Lane
entered the petitions as Exhibit 1.
Casey Sparks, 2407 Kenosha Court, spoke in support of this application.
Nathan Feldman, 5205 Park Way Circle West, spoke in support of this application.
Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2008-09 approving an application from South China Restaurant Liquor
License at South China Restaurant, 4613 South Mason.
The meeting adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
