Regular Meeting - April 21, 2008

A regular meeting of the Liquor Licensing Authority was held on April 21 , 2005 in Municipal
Court, Justice Center, 215 North Mason. Judge Kathleen M. Lane presiding.

Aimee Jensen, Deputy City Clerk
Consent Agenda
Deputy City Clerk Jensen stated there are no changes to the agenda.
Approval of Minutes
Judge Lane approved the minutes from March 24, 2008.
Show Cause Hearing for Shadow Bar, Inc., dba
Drunken Monkey, 151 South College Avenue,
Continued to June 9, 2008
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao requested that the show cause hearing for Shadow Bar, Inc.,
dba Drunken Monkey, be postponed to June 9, 2008. She stated the attorney representing Shadow
Bar, Inc., is in agreement with this postponement.
Judge Lane continued the show cause hearing for Shadow Bar, Inc., dba Drunken Monkey, 151
South College Avenue to June 9, 2008.
Show Cause Hearing for Shellabella Enterprises, Inc.,
dba Domenic's, 931 East Harmony Road,
Motion to Show Cause Withdrawn
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao requested that the motion to show cause for Shellabella
Enterprises, hie., dba Domenic's, be withdrawn.
Judge Lane approved that the motion to show cause for Shellabella Enteprises, Inc., dba Domenic's
be withdrawn.

Show Cause Hearing for Sanford's Grub & Pub of Colorado, Inc.,
dba Sanford's Grub and Pub, 1526 Oakridge Drive, Stipulation Approved
Jason Tackas, district manager, stated they are admitting to the violation. He briefly described the
incident.
Bruce Kelly, representative for Sanford's Grub & Pub of Colorado, Inc., stated that the server should
be fined as well.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao summarized the agreement. She stated the Licensee has agreed
to a 15 suspension, 5 days served (paid fine in lieu suspension $437.61), with 10 days held in
abeyance for 1 year for violating Colorado Liquor Code 12-47-901(1), serving a visibly intoxicated
person under 21 and also violating Colorado Liquor Code 12-47-901(h), permitting consumption
after 2:00 a.m.
Judge Lane approved the stipulation and order as presented.
Request from B&B's Pickle Barrel, Inc., dba
B&B's Pickle Barrel, to Change, Alter, or Modify
the licensed premises at
122 -124 West Laurel Street, for May 3, 2008, Approved
Brenda Vaniscak, representative for B&B's Pickle Barrel, Inc., dba B&B's Pickle Barrel, briefly
described the proposed change. She stated she wants to license her parking lot to allow for a larger
crowd. Ms. Vaniscak stated she is hosting this event in celebration of their 201' year in business on
May 3, 2008.
In response to questions from the Authority, Ms. Vaniscak stated that they will not block the alley
way and that her employees will monitor the patrons.
Senior Assistant City Attorney Ablao noted that there are several other potentially large events
occurring the same weekend as this event.
Judge Lane approved the request from B&B's Pickle Barrel, Inc., dba B&B's Pickle Barrel, to
change, alter, or modify the licensed premises at 122 - 124 West Laurel Street, for May 3, 2008.
Request from Road 34 Deli & Tavern, LLC,
dba Road 34, Bike Bar to Change, Alter, or Modify the
Licensed Premises at 1213 West Elizabeth Street, Unit A. for May 3, 2008 Approved
Will Overbagh, representative for Road 34 Deli & Tavern, LLC, described the proposed change for
May 3, 2008. He stated he has a reserve unit ambulance with EMT's on site for the entire day. Mr.

Overbagh stated that approximately 15 employees will be monitoring the event. He stated in case
of an emergency, the fencing surrounding the parking lot, can be easily torn down.

Judge Lane approved the request from Road 34 Deli & Tavern, LLC, dba Road 34 Bike Bar, to
change, alter or modify the licensed premise at 1213 West Elizabeth on May 3, 2008.
Hearing on a Change of Location Application from
Los Tarascos, Inc., to move a hotel -restaurant liquor license
from 626 South College Avenue to
622 South College Avenue, Approved
Hugo Cabellero, representative for Los Tarascos, Inc., was swom. He stated the new location is
twice the size of his current location. In response to questions from the Authority, Mr. Cabellero
briefly described the premise. He stated he is including the patio for this location. Mr. Cabellero
stated the liquor storage will be in his office. He stated the patio fencing will be similar to his
previous location's patio fencing.
Mr. Cabellero briefly described the petitioning process. He received many positive comments in
support of this application.
Judge Lane adopted Resolution 2008-05 to approve the change of location application from Los
Tarascos, Inc., to move a hotel -restaurant liquor license from 626 South College Avenue to South
College Avenue.
