MINUTES OF THE EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT COMMITTEE 'HELD ON OCTOBER 18, 1971.
Present: Chairman Karl E. Carson, Alvin Kruchten, Philip A. Shade,
Warren Dalke and Charlie D. Cain.
Absent: None.
Mr. Philip A. Shade was introduced as the replacement member for
Mr. Basil Sakas.
Requests for Disability Retirement for Everett Shellenbarger and
Early Retirement for Russell Newberry were presented. Motion was made
by Mr. Cain, seconded by Mr. Dalke that these requests be approved.
• Motion was carried by 5 Aye votes. Both Mr. Newberry and Mr. Shellenbarger
have the right to choose the option of their choice.
Mr. Dalke reported he had discussed with the employees pertaining to
a payroll bond purchase arrangement and suggested that this discussion be
tabled to a later date.
Types of investments were discussed. It was suggested a letter be
addressed to Mr. March, Jr. requesting the City Attorney's opinion
concerning the legalities of various types of investments.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
