HomeMy WebLinkAboutRetirement Committee - Minutes - 04/12/19950 FORT COLLINS SENIOR ADVISORY BOARD Outreach Program Wednesday, April 1.2, 1995 On April 12, 1995, the Fort Collins Senior Advisory Board conducted an Outreach Program, the second one of the year, in Suzy Van Amburg's gerontology class, HD 301: Perspectives in Gerontology, at 3:00 P. M. in Room 332, Gifford Building, CSU campus. The following members attended: Members Kay Rios, chair Yvonne Myers, vice chair Stan Ulrich, secretary Jane Goodhart Ed Johnson Marjorie McTaggart Wayne Moellenberg Mary Alice Spelts Jill Taylor Margaret Watts Staff Barbara Schoenberger, staff representative Jennifer Klink, RSVP Chair Kay Rios introduced the members of the Senior Advisory Board to the students in the class and started the program with a brief history, the purposes and past accomplishments of the SAB. Following her introductory remarks, Kay then asked members of the SAB to discuss the following topics: Senior Center Update ......................... Wayne Moellenberg Dispensing Information and Supporting Other Organizations ..........................Jill Taylor Education....................................Marjorie McTaggart Legislation..................................Stan Ulrich Advocacy.....................................Jane Goodhart Kay Rios Community Projects...........................Jennifer Klink Ed Johnson Following the presentations by the members, Kay opened the meeting to questions from the class. Many students asked informational questions about the Senior Advisory Board, but several asked in-depth questions about complex issues and wanted to know what role the SAB played in them.
