Re: 2007 Current Planning & Zoning Board Annual Report
Member Gino Campana joined the Planning and Zoning Board during 2007. David Lingle
was reappointed Chairperson and Brigitte Schmidt was appointed as Vice -Chairperson.
In 2007, the Planning and Zoning Board held 11 regular public hearings, taking action on
an average of 4 items per meeting. The agenda ranged from two items to as many as
twelve items. The Board held 11 work sessions prior to the regular meetings. In addition,
there was also one Board/staff retreat.
The Development Review agenda items for the year totaled:
1 Overall Development Plans (including amended plans);
11 Project Development Plans;
1 Easement Vacations;
7 Easement Dedications;
1 Modification of Standard (Stand-alone request);
4 Rezonings;
5 Annexations totaling approximately 85.62 acres;
3 Major Amendments;
2 Minor Amendments;
6 Site Plan Advisory Reviews;
3 Right of Way Dedications;
1 Final Plan Extension.
The Board provided recommendations to the City Council on the following items:
• Werner (Enclave) Annexation and Zoning
• Recommendation to City Council Updating the North College Corridor Plan,
Making Related Changes to City Plan and the Land Use Code and Rezoning
Certain Properties on Conifer Street
• Kinard Junior High School Annexation and Zoning
• Rigden Farm Tract A Rezoning
• North College Urban Renewal Plan Expansion
• Downtown Urban Renewal Plan
