Representatives from The Resource Assistance Center (TRAC) joined the meeting. TRAC gave a
presentation outlining the possibility of establishing a partnership between TRAC and the Fort Collins
Housing Authority for the express propose of developing affordable housing (rentals and
homeownership). This partnership would start with the development of Lakeview Community at Rigden
Farm (tentative groundbreaking August 2001).
There is some concern about this partnership structure, the target income population, the concept of using
a land -lease model and the financing mechanisms. After some discussion, Commissioner Brady proposed
Ms. Love continue to work on this possibility and that she should stress to TRAC that there is no
commitment at this time. The rest of the Commissioners concurred.
